Sample Rate Devotes “Tsunami” in Support of Japan's Relief Efforts
Lviv, Ukraine. Recent events in Japan shocked the world and the magnitude of this tragedy forced people to reflect about our existence. The earthquake and tsunami that swept over Japan led many people to look at life differently. Seeing the pain and suffering many musicians are trying to somehow help those who suffer. Lviv's Sample Rate responded by writing, recording, and releasing "Tsunami" which is devoted to all the victims in Japan! Sample Rate and iUA Music are committed to donating the proceeds of sale of this track to Japanese relief efforts.
The band Sample Rate begins its history in late 2002, founded by it’s vocalist/guitarist Taras Terletsky. The group now consists of five members who have been composing alternative rock songs dedicated to the environment. Naturally, each of them was touched by the events taking place in Japan. Writing a song is special and lasting way to convey one's sympathy. Thus a new poetic song entitled "Tsunami" was born. Listening to this song you realize that these young men are imbued to the depths of their soul with the tragedy and are encouraging people to pray. With such events, even the most fierce unbeliever feels compelled to bow his head in prayer.
In addition to the song, the group quickly developed a non-profit music video, which included the most terrible moments of tragedy. In this way the musicians of Sample Rate who are thousands of miles away from Japan expresses its condolences. Many creative people throughout the world have rushed to the aid of the victims. Most importantly, people have woken up with a feeling of the fact that we are all brothers and sisters.
You can find Sample Rate’s album for sale worldwide on iTunes. It will soon appear on AmazonMP3, Nokia Music, Shockhound, and other digital stores. Again, all proceeds of the sale will be donated to Japan's relief efforts.
